DESCRIPTION: Angelus Watch Co. Le Locle, a quarter repeating, "Blind Man's" pocket watch commemorating the first world war, 15 jewels, stem wind and set, gilt plate movement with lever escapement in a silver plated, hunting case with rear cover embossed "Honneur Aux Heros Pour Le Droit 1914- 1918" and front with relief of a soldier beneath a flag and Arabic numeral, metal tactile dial, brass and steel spade and poker hands, 55mm, c1920.
CONDITION: CASE: Tarnish and loss to silver; Minor dent, front; Dings and pin pricks; Scratches on outer surface of case; Scratches on inner surface of case; Covers with minor gaps at band when closed; Front cover lift spring missing. DIAL: Good. HANDS: Mismatched. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Staining; Steel with minor oxide; Very dirty. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). COMPLICATION FUNCTION: Repeater functions incorrectly, needs a new winding rack tail in order to count the hours correctly.
